Halau 'Inoa
Kawahineali'inoho'ikeanuenue has 26
letters which describes the meaning, The
Little Princess or Royal Lady that Rests
Uponthe Rainbow.  This gift of 'Inoa
(name) was given to Kumu Stanette's
niece Desiree Koanui at birth from her
Kumu Hula, the late Darrell Lupenui.  He
was inspired by a rainbow on that blessed
day when Desiree was born.  This name
was later adopted by Stanette for her
halau which signified two important
people in her life, her best friend and
teacher Darrell Lupenui and her niece and
namesake of the halau, Desiree Koanui.
The halau is honored to perpetuate
Darrell's legacy which impacted the Hula
world with grace, talent and humility.
