| Halau 'Inoa Kawahineali'inoho'ikeanuenue has 26 letters which describes the meaning, The Little Princess or Royal Lady that Rests Uponthe Rainbow. This gift of 'Inoa (name) was given to Kumu Stanette's niece Desiree Koanui at birth from her Kumu Hula, the late Darrell Lupenui. He was inspired by a rainbow on that blessed day when Desiree was born. This name was later adopted by Stanette for her halau which signified two important people in her life, her best friend and teacher Darrell Lupenui and her niece and namesake of the halau, Desiree Koanui. The halau is honored to perpetuate Darrell's legacy which impacted the Hula world with grace, talent and humility. |
